EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PLAN

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, confidential, cost-free, short-term counselling and advisory service that connects you and your eligible family members to a network of dedicated professionals who are available to give you assistance 24 hours a day.

The EAP provides professional assistance for a wide range of issues, including:

• personal and work-related stress
• couple and marital relationships
• childcare and parenting issues
• eldercare concerns
• depression and anxiety
• alcohol and drug misuse
• family matters
• bereavement
• legal issues
• financial concerns
• crisis counselling/trauma
• other concerns

To contact the EAP, you can phone, toll-free, 1-800-268-5211. Alternatively, you can visit the "members only" online EAP.  Simply type "Bluewater District" under Organization Name and Bluewater District School Board should pop up automatically.  Select it, and then click "Continue".  On the next page, accept the terms and conditions of use.  Then, hundreds of articles, and thousands of pages on important topics, including links and reference materials, will be at your fingertips.
