Leave of Absence
An official Leave of Absence for must be filled out for any absences of more than ten (10) days. Failure to do so can result in being removed from the OT Roster. The Board allows for a one-year leave from the Roster as long as assignments are worked the following year. If no assignments are worked in the second year, it is grounds for removal from the Roster. This applies to daily OTs as well as those on LTOs. If you have a partial contract, you must fill out two LOA forms: one for the OTBU and one for the TBU. Maternity leave (18 month) is a special exemption. LOA forms can be found on Sharepoint or you can contact the Human Resources Department.
