LTo evaluations
If you are in an LTO assignment of 4 months of longer, regardless of whether it is 0.33, 0.67 or 1.0 FTE, you are entitled to an evaluation by the principal. It should be done automatically, but initiate this conversation with the principal early in the assignment to make sure that it can be completed. The LTO evaluation is different from the TPA of contract teachers. The Board does not allow exemption from the LTO evaluation. This LTO evaluation checklist is provided to assist you and the following is a copy of the performance appraisal manual:

*** Important to note: Starting with the school year 2019/2020 the board has agreed to allow those who meet the criteria for an LTO list interview to have the interview waived if they have a successful OT evaluation.
Upon receipt of a successful OT Evaluation or at the request of a teacher who believes they have met the criteria (copy of OT evaluation to be scanned and sent with request to the board) the board will:

- Verify the OT has been on the Roster for at least 10 months.
- Verify a minimum of 20 FTE has been worked in a period of 10 months within the last five year.
If the criteria has been met, the board will:
- Add OT to the List
- Notify OT and cc the union president to inform they are on the list
- Post an updated list to SharePoint
